The role: Content Marketing Manager

EPG Health, a digital medical publisher based in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, works with pharmaceutical industry clients worldwide to provide healthcare professionals with access to valuable medical information. We are seeking a skilled content creator to help build awareness of our business within the industry as well as share our expertise in reaching, engaging and educating healthcare professionals.


Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Content Marketing Manager will be responsible for producing customer-centric content across a range of formats and channels to expand our company’s digital footprint and brand awareness. They will play a key role in efforts to establish thought leadership and generate business through the use of highly engaging content.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop impactful content for a wide range of channels and formats, including market research, whitepapers, articles/blogs, webinars, workshops, award entries, video/animation, infographics, client case studies, presentations, press releases, newsletters, social media
  • Ensure our content advances thought leadership, aligns with strategic objectives, reflects our brand and promotes the value of EPG Health
  • Edit, proofread, leverage and repurpose existing high-performance assets to increase the reach and visibility
  • Manage the use of our content suite, monitoring engagement and developing strategies to meet lead generation targets for each piece as well as customer journeys through multiple pieces
  • Be a steward of standards and best practices for content creation and message delivery across the business, ensuring it is on-brand, consistent in style, message, quality and tone of voice
  • Work with team to map out content strategies that support and extend marketing initiatives, manage the editorial workflow and ensure deadlines are met
  • Collaborate with other teams to extract valuable intelligence, support their objectives and utilise all opportunities and routes to audience
  • Clearly articulate and meet the goals behind each content piece, while motivating others to support you with their own knowledge, insight, time and resource
  • Implement our on-page SEO strategy including the development of metadata and use of keywords
  • Partner with external organisations to design and produce high quality content

Desired skills and experience:

  • Best in class writing standards (B2B) and understanding of information architecture, design, hierarchy, accessibility etc.
  • 3+ years experience of the pharmaceutical industry with exposure to the work and challenges of pharma brand, marketing, medical and digital/multichannel teams 
  • Demonstrable ability to conceptualise and craft content for a range of on and offline channels and mediums including website, social, email, powerpoint, print
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a natural collaborator, motivator, confident influencer and team player matched by an equal sense of personal responsibility and capacity to self-manage and work under own initiative
  • Experience of creating content briefs and techniques to extract the information you require to produce the planned content
  • Ability to work flexibly and transparently, being open about priorities and capacity to deliver
  • Creative flair and proactive with ideas to reinforce our marketing campaigns
  • An eye for design and experience of commissioning, story-boarding and producing image-led content such as infographics, video and photography
  • Tech savvy with good knowledge of SEO, metadata and keyword research
  • Highly organised with meticulous accuracy and attention to detail

Nice to have

  • A background in journalism would be an advantage when it comes to being proactive, structured, persuasive, resourceful, resilient and determined in sourcing the information you need
  • A background in marketing would be an advantage in terms of brand positioning and supporting commercial objectives
  • Good understanding of digital technology and publishing trends
  • Experience using website CMS, social platforms, Mailchimp, Google analytics
